Active Matter Finds Its Audience on Xbox
Released in September, Active Matter combines realistic modern military combat with supernatural threats and unstable environments. Players can venture into dangerous zones solo or in teams, facing hostile operatives, creatures, and environmental hazards while searching for valuable loot.
The game features PvE, PvPvE, and PvP modes, with high-stakes raids where players must decide how much of their equipment they are willing to risk.
According to Gaijin Entertainment co-founder Anton Yudintsev, sales have remained steady since launch rather than relying on a typical opening-week spike. The studio sees this as a sign of a dedicated audience for hardcore shooters.

Major Content Update Coming Later This Year
Gaijin Entertainment also confirmed that Active Matter will receive its first major post-launch content update later this year.
The update will introduce:
- New maps and weapons
- Additional monsters and bosses
- Visual improvements to enhance the game’s atmosphere
More details about the upcoming update will be revealed soon through the official Active Matter website.
With half a million copies sold and new content on the way, Gaijin Entertainment says Active Matter is only at the beginning of its journey.
