GTA VI Sets a New Benchmark for Purchase Interest
The excitement goes beyond YouTube. According to Circana, 29% of U.S. console and PC gamers intend to purchase GTA VI, making it the most anticipated game in the company’s tracking history.
The first trailer also made history with 93 million views in its first 24 hours, setting a record for a non-music video debut on YouTube. Nearly three years later, it remains one of the most watched game trailers on the platform.
Vice City Is Taking Over the Real World
Rockstar’s marketing campaign is also reaching beyond gaming screens. Real-world promotional placements have appeared in locations such as South Beach, bringing the fictional world of Vice City closer to its real-life inspiration, Miami.
Players won’t have to wait much longer to get ready for launch. Digital pre-loading is scheduled to begin on November 12, one week before the game arrives.
With record-breaking viewership, unprecedented purchase interest, and a growing real-world campaign, Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to be one of the biggest entertainment launches of the year.
