August numbers show a community still heavily concentrated around specific system, memory, processor, graphics card, and resolution configurations.

• Operating System: 64-bit Windows 11 appears in 70.97% of surveyed machines, up +0.71%.
• RAM: Systems with 16 GB of RAM account for 41.20% of the total, up +0.23%.
• Processors: An 8-CPU core configuration appears in 28.04% of surveyed systems (+0.19%), while the 2.3 GHz to 2.69 GHz frequency range represents 19.98% (+0.07%).
• Graphics Card: The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 sits at 3.76% market share, gaining +0.05% during the period.
• VRAM: Systems with 16 GB of VRAM represent 26.92%, growing by +1.02%.
• Display Resolution: Full HD (1920×1080) remains the most common resolution, present in 50.52% of systems despite a -0.58% drop. Multi-monitor setup at 3840×1080 stands at 47.62% (-0.44%).
• Storage: Almost half of all systems—49.51%—have more than 1 TB of total storage (+0.18%). Meanwhile, the 100 GB to 249 GB free space range appears in 23.98% (+0.44%).
• Language: English is the most common language among surveyed users at 38.25% (-1.36%).
• Virtual Reality: Among VR headsets, the Oculus Quest 2 leads with 26.97% (+0.30%).

What does the Steam Hardware Survey indicate?

August data shows a scenario of gradual shifts in the hardware used by PC gamers. Windows 11 now represents the vast majority of surveyed systems, while 16 GB of RAM remains the most common memory configuration.

In graphics, the RTX 3060 stands out as the individual GPU with the highest market share among the provided data, while Full HD remains the go-to display resolution.

The survey also indicates that total storage over 1 TB is present in nearly half of the surveyed setups, showing how common this capacity has become among Steam users.
