The 2001 Dungeons & Dragons cRPG is now available digitally for the first time, featuring 4K support, bug fixes, controller support, and an optional Legacy mode.
Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor has returned to PC with a restored release, now available on Steam and GOG. Originally released in 2001 by Ubisoft and developed by Stormfront Studios, the classic Dungeons & Dragons RPG is making its digital debut through publisher SNEG, in partnership with Wizards of the Coast.
Set in the Forgotten Realms, the game follows a group of adventurers answering Elminster’s call to investigate a new Pool of Radiance discovered beneath New Phlan. Players must descend into the haunted ruins of Myth Drannor and stop a sorceress and a dracolich from using its power against Faerûn.
The restored edition is priced at $19.99 / £16.75 / €19.99 before regional pricing and promotions.

A Classic D&D Adventure Updated for Modern PCs
Ruins of Myth Drannor is a party-based cRPG built around tactical, turn-based combat and traditional Dungeons & Dragons rules. Players can create up to four heroes and recruit two companions during the adventure, building a party of six characters from different races and classes.
Character progression reaches level 16, with more than 90 spells available and powerful magic reaching 8th level. Combat offers two options: traditional turn-based encounters or an optional turn timer that adds pressure and speeds up battles.
The new release also addresses several technical limitations of the original game. It includes widescreen support up to 4K, sharper visuals, numerous bug fixes, an improved interface with an action bar and additional tooltips, full controller support, reworked camera controls, and adjustable combat animation speeds.

Legacy Mode Preserves the Original Experience
Not every player will want the same level of modernization, so the restored edition includes an optional Legacy mode that preserves the original gameplay and visuals.
Additional in-game settings allow players to customize how much of the new enhancements they want to use. This gives returning fans the option to get closer to the 2001 experience while making the adventure more accessible to newcomers.
Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is available now on Steam and GOG for PC.
