September arrives in Pokémon GO with a packed schedule for trainers, featuring the end-of-season finale and high-level gym battles. Below is the breakdown of the confirmed events and raid rotations for the beginning of the month:

Event Highlights
Mega Ascension (August 31 – September 4)
Serving as the warm-up for the main weekend, this event features a temporary GO Pass and increases the daily Remote Raid Pass limit up to 30. Each day introduces different Mega-Evolved raid bosses to help trainers stock up on extra Mega Energy.
Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale (September 5 – September 6)
The climax of the season concentrates on high-intensity battles and habitat rotations:
- Saturday (Sep 5): Features Super Mega Raids against Mega Mewtwo X.
- Sunday (Sep 6): Introduces Super Mega Raids against Mega Mewtwo Y.
- Active Bonuses: No daily limit on Remote Raid Passes and CP boosts for Mega-Evolved Pokémon throughout the event.
Special Raid Window (September 7 – September 8)
Immediately following GO Fest, a 48-hour window will host top-tier raids:
- Five-Star Raids: The legendary trio Regirock, Regice, and Registeel take over raid spots simultaneously.
- Mega Raids: Mega Gyarados takes center stage in Mega Raids.
- Shadow Raids: Shadow Giratina steps in as the primary threat to defeat and rescue.
Community Meetups
Beginning September 7, official community leaders will host local in-person gatherings in parks and key hubs to help trainers organize raid groups and make trades.
