Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe released Little Nightmares III – The Shores on September 30, sending Low and Alone back into The Spiral for a new leg of their journey. This time, the pair travels through the mirror to reach The Shores, a flooded new region where they’ll need to navigate submerged passages, filthy sewers, and treacherous waterways to reach the beacon of a distant lighthouse. Along the way, they’ll face leeches under the command of a new threat, the Leech Monster, described by Bandai Namco as one of several new perils standing between them and their goal. The Shores is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

What’s New in The Shores

Beyond the flooded setting, the expansion leans into puzzle design built around water itself, hazards hidden beneath the surface, passages that only open once you’ve solved what’s blocking them, and the constant threat of the Leech Monster’s swarm lurking nearby. It’s a tonal shift from dry, claustrophobic corridors toward something closer to survival in open water, which fits the series’ pattern of introducing a distinct visual identity with each new chapter.

How to Get The Shores

There are three ways into the new content, and it’s worth knowing which one fits your library before buying anything twice. If you own the Deluxe Edition of Little Nightmares III, The Shores is already included, no extra purchase needed. The same goes for anyone who picked up the Secret of The Spiral Expansion Pass, which bundles this and other planned content together. If you own the base game on its own, The Shores is also sold separately, so you don’t need to upgrade your whole edition just to get the new area.
